Volunteer Information - this information should be updated every month or so by TT
There is still work that volunteers can do to help with the tsunami relief however most of the immediate relief work has been completed. There is currently no need for volunteers in Phuket.
Areas where volunteers can be of use include:
Khao Lak to Takua Pa coastal areas
This is just over 100km from Phuket and easily reachable by bus or car.
There are several organization which are taking short-term volunteers to help with building houses, and boats, there is however a minimum of 2 week stay.

A project to clean underwater along the shore-line and there will also be a need for experienced divers to help with this project. More information will be posted when available.
Phi Phi island
Located just a 2 hr boat ride from the Rassada Pier, Phuket.
There are several projects that short-term volunteers can help with on the island.
A large memorial garden is being built and it is expected that it will take several months to build.
